This family of custom ROM is the best and most reliable when it comes to custom ROMs with added features. Well both of them are the same, only Lineage OS is the extension of CyanogenMod. This is all aided by the fact that the M9 supports 24-bit high-res audio (CD quality), so if you’re using a streaming service that supports high-quality sound (Tidal for example) then you can fully experience the best of Boom Sound, but even just Spotify’s 320kbps streaming (known as ‘extreme quality’) is excellent. The playback through the headphones is also excellent and the best I’ve heard through a smartphone. The M9’s Boom Sound speakers are loud, as you’d expect, but there’s also a clarity and 3D effect to the sound that the M8 missed. What HTC has achieved with the front facing speakers on a smartphone is frankly incredible. The One M9's top and bottom pinhole speakers can emit excellent sound.
